I had been dating the same guy for over a year when I realized that being part of a relationship was not working for me. I was tired of watching all of my single friends go out and have fun with different guys while I sat at home with my guy watching TV and pretending I was enjoying myself. One year of being with the same guy had begun to turn me into a boring person just like him. I found myself always looking frumpy and wrinkled and with no real ambition. It was as if I was turning into a female version of him and this is not at all something that I was happy being so one day I finally gave him his walking papers and decided to reinvent myself from scratch.

I knew no one would want to be dating a frumpy girl so I the firstthing I did was that I threw away all of my nasty sweatshirts and sweatpants and bought myself a brand new sexy wardrobe. Being a partner in my firm I have plenty of money to buy a whole new set of clothes along with a very expensive and chic hairdo. I also got my nails done and a pedicure just in case anyone got close enough to see my feet. Soon I was ready to face the dating world a brand new person.

Between my friends and me we set a very busy "fun" schedule that consisted of going out 4 nights a week to all of the hottest clubs and bars. I really adore my friends and getting to hang out with them after a whole year in exile was a real treat for me. I had begin to forget how much fun it was to be single and free without having to report to anyone. I decided that I would not begin dating anyone person but that I would date around and get to know different guys.

So now I am living this great, fun life and I am having a real blast. Tonight we are going to hold a dinner party for a roommate that just got engaged and then we are all going club hopping. This is something I could not have done when I was with my ex so now I am happier than ever that I got out of that boring relationship. One day I am going to be ready to settle down but that time is not here yet and I have to enjoy my single life first.
