Yesterday, my friend Elian came home with her eyes almost popping out of the socket and red, as if she has sore-eyes.

She came in, sat down and burst into tears. I had no clue what it was for, so how would I handle it?

So I try to strike a conversation, about what a lucky lady she was to be the wife of the man who is considered an idol with all the other women in the neighbor hood , and then I hear her cry even louder. So I lose my patience and ask her “what is it?” and she speaks in monosyllables, words that don’t make sense! Like me wife, lovable, idol, dating women, good man, no good.

So I ask again, can you be more precise, and she starts to say

“I always thought my husband loves me – his wife, but apparently that is not to be. Yesterday I had been to Macy’s and there I see him with a lovable and cute girl happens she was from the agency named “dating women young”. I was shell shocked, to catch them with hands interlocked and walking as if they were a couple on their honey moon.

When he saw me he did not introduce me as his wife, but as his colleague, and then winked at me expecting me to understand. What was I supposed to understand? The man who I considered being my idol, and even every other woman did, turns out to be not so lovable after all. He wanted me-his wife to pretend, so the girl’s heart should not break. But what about my heart? The Jerk is dating women in my face and expects me to be supportive... how cheeky? What should I do? I started to make a scene, ignoring the wink, and he tells the girl that I, I am jealous because I liked him and mentioned it to him in the office. (Hypothetical one).blah blah blah….”

.and she went on and on and on with the story, crying reduced, sobs reduced,

And here I was not knowing how to respond?

What can you possibly say to a woman who finds her husband, idol cheating on her?

I am still trying to get an answer to that.
